The Gyal who Jerks...
I fell in love with cooking when I was 8 years old. My mom would be in the kitchen and I would be right at her side. Mom's food was great and I knew I could come up with my own twists on her style. I took culinary classes at 13 years of age and continued learning about food, beverages and events by completing my bachelors degree in hotel management. 

To solidify my passion for the craft, I wrote and published a cookbook entitled "Vegetarian Cooking, Jamaican Style" at the age of 23. Throughout the years I have learnt a lot from executive chefs within the hospitality industry and I have also mastered the art of event management. I believe that details matter just as much as creativity and that is why a positive client experience is of utmost importance to me.

My objective is to deliver an authentic "Jerk" experience while adapting to the needs of the client. I'll do the shopping, take along the equipment that I need for prep and service and will ask that you have at least 1 shelf in the fridge and freezer space available for me. I'll be at your home preparing the menu that you choose for a minimum of 6 hours, and longer if buffet or plate service is required. Your kitchen will be in good hands and left spotless upon my departure. 
 
Word of mouth is priceless in this industry and your complete satisfaction is my success. My mom taught me to work hard and do my best, and her advice has never failed me. As your personal Jerk Chef, I will commit to preparing meals that leave your guests impressed!
I have an old  photo of myself at 23 in an apron  somewhere in the Dominican Republic. I was a  vegetarian and published a cookbook on the topic. Now, about 20 years later, I'm still following my dreams but now my friends say "Jerk it Gyal!"
